What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Cori appears to relish the camaraderie she shares with her teammates , particularly during taekwondo training sessions. Despite its reputation as an individual sport, she trains daily in a group setting, relying on her teammates to grow stronger through competitive sparring and often intimidating situations. Her sense of belonging among a team motivates her to contribute to their collective strength as competitors.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

She draws inspiration from her Mom and Dad, both on and off the mat. They remind her to believe in herself and to say to herself, “I can do hard things.” Her parents don’t just motivate her; they also admit that they face challenges daily and find ways to overcome them. This transparency reassures her that she’s not alone in her quest to rise above tough situations.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

Witnessing her transform the training and tutelage she’s received into a guiding force for the younger Taekwondo students. Her innate leadership and passion for seeing others achieve their goals is inspiring. It was then that I realized - she possesses an extraordinary quality—a coaching spirit that elevates her to a level beyond ordinary.
