What is Youth Athlete of the Year?
Learn MoreDamien Jr. loves the challenge of improving his soccer skills and competing against strong opponents. He enjoys learning from coaches, working hard in training, and seeing his progress on the field. Being part of a team while contributing through goals, assists, and leadership gives him confidence and motivation. Most of all, he loves the game because it pushes him to become the best player he can be.
My biggest inspiration is my dad, Damien Grant Sr. He teaches me the importance of hard work, discipline, and never giving up, and he always supports me in reaching my goals. On the field, I look up to Kylian Mbappé because of his incredible speed, confidence, skill, and determination to be the best. They both inspire me to work hard every day, dream big, and become the best player and person I can be.
At 13 years old, one of the moments I’m most proud of is helping my team reach the Kepner Cup Finals after finishing fourth the season before. It showed me that even at a young age, hard work, dedication, and believing in my teammates can make a big difference. Reaching the final was a huge accomplishment and a memory I’ll always be proud of. It inspires me to keep improving every day and chasing my goals in soccer.
