What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Dana loves volleyball because of the combination of competition, teamwork, and the constant challenge to improve. She loves the excitement of every rally, the feeling of making a great play, and knowing her teammates have her back. But what she loves most is being part of something bigger than herself, working together, encouraging each other, and celebrating the wins and lessons along the way. Volleyball has taught her confidence, resilience, and the importance of never giving up.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Dana is inspired by the Nebraska volleyball team, especially players who lead by example and never stop working to improve. She admires their confidence, resilience, and commitment to their teammates. Watching them compete motivates Dana to set big goals for herself while remembering that hard work, attitude, and teamwork are just as important as talent.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

One of the moments that makes us proudest is watching Dana continue to compete and give her best even when things don't go exactly as planned. Seeing her grow from simply playing volleyball to becoming a confident, hardworking teammate has been incredibly rewarding. We are especially proud of the way she encourages her teammates, stays positive, and keeps pushing herself to improve. Her growth, not just as a player, but as a person, is what makes us most proud.
