Dante

What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Dante loves most about hockey is the family aspect and that his teammates have his back no matter what! A true bond. A big part he loves is the difference between how the game can change based on his position, saves and encouragement he’s giving towards each play of hockey. The deciding factor can change based on how he shows up in the net and remains focused and motivating to his team throughout the entire game . Being named “most dedicated “ 2 years in a row is something that he wears proudly!

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

For Dante, he says his biggest inspiration is his family! Our constant support and encouragement helps him stay focused, positive ,motivated and resilient to be better every single time he steps on the ice. Dante stays humble and grateful for each opportunity and we remind him that each learning curve comes with the stepping stones he needs to be the best goalie he can be! No matter the outcome we are so incredibly proud of him each and every single time he is in his net.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

A moment that will forever stand out for Dante is his first year at 8 years old playing U9 hockey having an undefeated year and winning the championship playoffs by stopping almost every single shot that came his way! Within the first 3 mins of the first period of the first playoff game his stick broke and had to save a few with his hands until the referee noticed his stick was broken. The way he didn’t get distracted having that never happen to him and he stayed concentrated was amazing to see.
