He loves the competition, the brotherhood, and the opportunity to challenge himself. Football gives him a place to work hard, grow, and prove to himself what he’s capable of.
His mom inspires him most because she pushes him to believe in himself, persevere through setbacks, and never let challenges define what he can achieve. His first coach inspired his love for the game and taught him the foundation of hard work and discipline. He also looks up to Calvin “Megatron” Johnson because he was dominant, fearless, and nearly unstoppable on the field.
Watching him persevere through Sever’s disease since age 9 makes me proudest. Even through painful flare-ups and setbacks, he continues to put in the work, pursue his passion for football, and show up for his teammates. His resilience, heart, and determination remind me that his character is just as important as the athlete he’s becoming.
