What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

What my son loves most about playing basketball is the feeling of being on the court and challenging himself to get better. He loves competing, making plays, and being part of a team. Basketball has taught him discipline, teamwork, confidence, and how to keep pushing even when things get difficult. Most of all, he loves the excitement of the game and the feeling of knowing that all his hard work and practice are helping him become a better player.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Anthony Edwards inspires my son because of the way he plays with confidence, passion, and determination. He admires how Anthony never backs down from a challenge and always believes in himself, even when things get difficult. Watching him reminds my son that being a great athlete is about more than talent it’s about working hard, staying confident, learning from challenges, and continuing to push yourself. My son looks up to Anthony Edwards for his mindset and competitive spirit he has on court.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

One of the moments that made me the proudest was watching my son continue to give his all on the court, even when things weren’t going his way. Instead of getting discouraged, he stayed focused, encouraged his teammates, and kept pushing until the very end. In that moment, I realized that basketball is helping him become more than just a better athlete it’s helping him become a determined, confident, and respectful young man. Seeing his growth, effort, and love for the game makes me proud.
