Darryn's words. "My favorite thing about flag football is the variety of skill each player has/brings to the field. Watching a brand new player and watching a very well experienced player, is just as interesting as each other. Experienced players are so good at what they do, that when I see a new player, I can see the potential in them."
Darryn's words. "To me, it's not who inspires me, it's what inspires me. Most of the time, I find it very hard to believe in myself, and to see the potential that I have. However, the moments in which I do see the potential in me, it motivates me. The moments where I feel at my best inspire me to reach my best moments as much as possible."
There isn't just one moment that has made me the proudest. It is the effect flag football has had in Darryn's life. Watching her confidence grow by playing the sport. It doesn't just effect her on the field, but extends into her daily life. With that, she is one of the first players to welcome newcomers to the sport and help them feel comfortable. Encouraging them and cheering them on as they learn new skills.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
