What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Dax absolutely loves baseball and football because they let him do what he loves most run, play, be silly, and have fun! He loves being outside, chasing the ball, throwing, running the bases, and being right in the middle of the action. He gets so excited when he gets to put on his uniform and be part of a team. At just four years old, his fearless and adventurous personality shines when he’s playing sports. Whether he’s swinging a bat, running after a football, or cheering on his teammates.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Romeo Doubs is Dax’s biggest inspiration. Being a family friend of an NFL player has given Dax an incredible opportunity to see firsthand what it looks like to work hard and chase your dreams. Since meeting Romeo, Dax has looked up to him so much. He loves talking about him and proudly tells everyone, “Romeo Doubs!” whenever they ask who his favorite NFL player is. One of the sweetest things is hearing Dax say, “One day I’ll be like Romeo Doubs.” He already has someone he looks up to!

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

He may be little, but he plays with so much confidence and determination. Seeing his face light up when he makes a play, runs the bases, or gets involved in the game reminds me that it’s not about how young he is or how well he plays it’s about how much he loves it. Watching him find something that makes him so happy and seeing his confidence grow through sports is something I’ll always be proud of.
