What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

The thrill of movement and skating, playing with friends and teammates, the energy and unpredictability of the game. He loves the pounce at the puck and score goals. He also plays baseball and loves skill building, playing catch, hitting dingers and mostly striking people out!

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

As cliche as it sounds, his dad. His dad puts all he has into coaching hockey and baseball and cares about each player on the team. He is a role model through personal example and teaches sacrifice and commitment.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

Honestly watching Dayne always come through for his team makes me so proud. If we’re down one goal and tell him go it, he does and that gives me goosebumps that he’s able to have those skills at such a young age. It’s not so much about having to score to win it’s about the accomplishment of it all.
