What I love most about archery is that it’s fun and there’s always something new to learn. Every day is a chance to be better than I was the day before. No matter how well I shoot, I know I can keep improving, and that’s what makes me love the sport.
I’m inspired by other competitive compound archers because they push me to keep working hard and get better. But my biggest inspiration is my dad. He teaches me, supports me, and encourages me to do what I love while always trying my best, no matter what happens.
What makes me most proud is not just Dean’s results, but how he handles challenges. He shows up positive and willing to learn. Even with equipment issues or tough competitions, he doesn’t give up or make excuses, he reflects, adjusts, and keeps going. Archery has built resilience, patience, and discipline, and shaped his character. I’m proud of who he is becoming in and out of sport.
