What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

I love basketball because it constantly pushes me to become a better athlete and person. Every practice and game is a chance to improve, compete, and learn something new. I enjoy being part of a team that works toward the same goal and builds each other up. Basketball has taught me discipline, leadership, accountability, and resilience. The friendships, memories, and opportunities the game has given me make me love it even more every day

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

My family inspires me the most because they have always believed in me, supported my dreams, and encouraged me to keep working hard no matter what. They remind me that success comes from discipline, consistency, and never giving up when things get difficult. My parents work ethic and sacrifices motivate me to stay focused on my goals, both in basketball and in life. They remind me to keep God first. I want to make them proud by giving my best effort every single day.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

The moment that makes us proudest wasn't a championship or a highlight play—it was watching Denaijah trust God through every challenge. She chose faith over fear, perseverance over excuses, and character over recognition. Through every setback, God strengthened her, shaped her, and reminded her that her identity is found in Him, not the scoreboard. Watching her grow into a humble leader who honors Christ & inspire others on & off the court is the greatest victory of all. To God be all the glory!
