Destine gets his inspiration and mindset after Penei Sewell because offensive tackles rarely get the flashy headlines, but they dictate the success of the entire game through pure grit and technique.
My proudest moment was during Destine’s 11U fall football season. After a rough 1-4 start, the team fought all the way back to the championship game on an 5-game winning streak. In the final two minutes, the offense executed a flawless drive—a massive 30-yard pass protection followed by a rushing touchdown. We missed the 2-point conversion and lost by one. but right after the game, Destine told me, 'Dad, I left everything on the field.' Seeing that dedication and heart made me incredibly proud.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
