Dion is on the mat when no one is watching & lifting before the sun comes up. He’s a high honor roll student and an amazing teammate.
Thank you for supporting Dion in this competition. Your participation made a huge impact for the Why Not You Foundation and their mission to empower change in the world, one individual at a time and one child at a time.

Wrestling means more than just a sport to me; it’s like being part of a family. The team supports each other through every challenge, creating bonds that last beyond the mat. Wrestling has helped me become a better person, teaching discipline, respect, and resilience. It pushes me to go beyond my limits, accomplishing things I never thought possible. The growth I experience on and off the mat is what makes wrestling truly special to me.
My dad motivates me both on and off the mat by always pushing himself to improve, which inspires me to do the same. He leads by example, showing me what hard work and dedication look like. As a great role model and father figure, he supports me no matter what happens, always having my back. His encouragement and belief in me give me the strength to keep going and become better every day.
Dions team was on their way to winning a 4th state title. It was on senior night, and one of the seniors was supposed to wrestle but we weren’t that far into the match yet to know if our win was secure yet. Dion walked over to his coaches & asked if the senior could wrestle instead of him (Dion was a freshman). His love for his teammates & wanted them to have their moment makes me so proud. My second would be watching him pin in the district finals.
