What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

He loves the challenge of basketball and the feeling of constantly getting better. Whether he’s practicing, playing with friends, or competing, basketball is where he feels most motivated. He loves the energy of the game, the teamwork, and the opportunity to prove to himself that hard work pays off. His goal is to continue developing as a player and hopefully earn the opportunity to play basketball in college.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Michael Jordan inspires him most because of his legendary competitiveness, work ethic, and determination to win. He admires how Jordan constantly pushed himself and the players around him to become better. To him, Jordan represents more than basketball talent—he represents the mindset of never settling, continuing to improve, and always competing at your highest level.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

One of my proudest moments was watching him continue to play after the disappointment of not making the team. It would have been easy to walk away, but he didn’t. He kept practicing, kept playing, stayed focused on school, and continued believing in himself. Seeing him turn disappointment into motivation showed me that his love for basketball is bigger than any one team or setback.
