What is Youth Athlete of the Year?
Learn MoreDrew loves competing and being with his teammates. He loves making big plays, but his favorite part is knowing he helped lead his team into 4 State Championships. He also loves getting better and seeing the hard work he puts in at practice show up on the field.
His Dad inspires him most, teaching him to work hard, and be a good teammate and person. Drew admires his Dad’s work ethic and strives to lead by example. He also looks up to his two older brothers, who have guided him along the way. His grandpa, a college football player who was drafted into the NFL in the 1950s, is someone Drew has never met, but he is inspired to carry on his legacy through his own love for the game. His family has taught him that football is about character and leadership.
Drew currently has the most touchdowns in the state of Utah for his age group, but you would never know it by watching him play. He never throws the ball or makes a big celebration after scoring. He usually hands the ball right back to the referee, tells him thank you, and is the first one back in position for the next play. He doesn’t care about the record or recognition. He cares about his teammates and winning as a team. As his mom, watching his humility and love for the game makes me prouder
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
