This kid has more drive than anyone I know. Hockey, lacrosse, baseball, fishing and golf. Beyond skill, he is an amazing teammate.

Learn MoreBeing part of a team that is working toward a goal. He loves setting goals to improve and is consistently seeking ways to up his game. The passion and love for his sports is what sets him a part. It is the relationships that are built out side of the game as well. The mini stick hockey, the laughter during practices and the lifelong bonds built from doing what he loves.
He would say that I am his biggest inspiration. As a full time single mom, it has been me and him since he was born. He has had to rise above not having a present father figure and has always said that he is “ doing it for me”. He appreciates all the sacrifices that I have made to get him to where he is today. Sure he has favourite hockey players that he looks up to, but from day one, he has always said that he is working hard for ME.
He was cut from a team last season that he was sure he would make. This was pure heartbreak for him. He had no choice but to join a new team. New kids, new parents, new town. He was a leader on this team and helped them win a league championship and a birth to the Ontario championships. Scoring an overtime goal in a 3 on 3 situation. His ability to overcome defeat and rise above it all. This season he made a team two levels higher. Soon after he helped his lacrosse team win a provincial title.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
