What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

What he loves most about basketball is the challenge of becoming better every day. He loves the competition, the adrenaline of game day, and the feeling of making something happen on the court after putting in countless hours of work. But most of all, he loves the moments when everything comes together, the perfect shot, a big defensive play, or helping his teammates succeed. Basketball pushes him, motivates him, and gives him a reason to never stop chasing the next level.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

His biggest inspiration is his mom. He sees how hard she works, never gives up, and always pushes through challenges, and that motivates him to do the same. On the court, he is inspired by his coaches and teammates who challenge him to work harder, stay disciplined, and believe in himself. He wants to make the people who believe in him proud while becoming the best athlete and person he can be.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

One of the moments that makes me the proudest is watching him learn to dunk. It wasn’t just about getting above the rim, it was about everything it took to get there. He worked relentlessly on his strength, jumping, technique, and confidence, even when it didn’t happen right away. Seeing him finally throw down that dunk after all those hours of practice showed me what determination looks like. That moment reminded me that when he sets his mind to something, he won’t stop until he gets there.
