What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

I feel what they love most about playing their sports is the feeling they get when they win. They love the excitement of competing, working hard, and seeing all their practice pay off. They also enjoy being part of a team, encouraging their teammates, and pushing themselves to be better. Winning makes them proud, but they also love the friendships, teamwork, and memories they make along the way.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Ed is inspired by Tyreek Hill, Jeremiah Smith, and LeBron James. He looks up to their hard work, dedication, leadership, and determination to succeed. They inspire him to stay focused, keep pushing himself, and never give up when things get difficult. Ed wants to learn from their success and use their example to become the best athlete and person he can be, both on and off the field.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

One of the moments that makes me most proud is watching Edward refuse to give up. He is a natural leader who encourages and pushes his teammates when they feel like giving up. Seeing his smile and the hope and excitement he has when he wins makes my heart proud. Before every game, he listens to a recorded message from me saying, “I love you, son. Mommy loves you.” Knowing that my words encourage him means everything to me.
