Eli is inspired by his older brother, Jelani. He is also inspired by his parents who were formed athletes. Eli was born into playing sports and knowing the people he loves competed at high levels encourages him to do the same, and even more!
Eli started wrestling three years ago. He did not like it at first and was on the developmental team for his first season and the majority of his second season. During his third season, Eli improved exponentially. In a competition for first, he went up against someone he previously lost to. This match was a turning point for him because he did not quit, he did not give up, he fought til the end and won.
