What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Eli loves the competitiveness of sports and challenging himself to improve every day. He enjoys working hard, pushing his limits, and competing at his highest level. He values sportsmanship and respects his teammates, coaches, opponents, and officials. Sports have taught him humility, determination, and perseverance. Through rodeo, he has developed strong horsemanship and takes pride in caring for his animal athletes, just as he supports and looks out for his teammates.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Eli is most inspired by his dad and great-grandpa. He looks up to them because they work hard, stay committed, and never give up. They have taught him determination, perseverance, and the value of always giving his best. Through the ranching and rodeo lifestyle, Eli has learned responsibility, grit, and respect for hard work. He strives to follow their example both on and off the field.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

One moment I will never forget was Eli’s first day of football practice. He was only five years old, standing there with tears in his eyes, wanting to give up. I almost gave in, but we encouraged him to keep going. Four years later, he is excelling in football, baseball, and rodeo. Watching him grow from that little boy who wanted to quit into a determined, confident athlete who never gives up has been one of my proudest moments.
