What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

What he loves most about soccer is being part of a team and sharing the journey with his teammates. He loves seeing professional athletes’ success stories and being inspired by their dedication and hard work. For him, soccer is about embracing both the wins and the losses, learning from mistakes, and always coming back stronger. Most of all, he loves the friendships, teamwork, and memories he creates along the way.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

His biggest inspiration on and off the field is his parents. He looks up to them for their hard work, perseverance, and dedication. Seeing how they have worked hard to overcome challenges and build a better future inspires him to give his best, never give up, and always believe in himself.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

The moment that makes me most proud in his athletic journey is watching him move from Puerto Rico to New Mexico and start over with a new team. He had to adapt to a new culture, language, and style of play, while stepping outside of his comfort zone. Despite the challenges, he embraced the change, worked hard, and continued to grow both as an athlete and as a person. Watching him find his place and thrive through it all has made me incredibly proud.
