What is Youth Athlete of the Year?
Learn MoreWhat I love the most about my sports is the drive and effort you have to put in, in order to get the position you want as well as the ethic you need to keep it. The level of friendship you find in sports is unmatched in my opinion. I also love being disciplined everyday in my offseason with what I eat, do, and how I sleep. I can’t imagine not being a student athlete.
My mom and dad inspire me the most for lots of reasons. Since I’m the youngest child in my family they have always encouraged me to work hard to keep up with my older brothers who are a few years older than me. That motivations has definitely transferred to my work ethic with sports and things outside of sports like practicing every day and making sure I’m on top of my grades and chores. My parents have definitely helped me a lot to be who I am today.
What had brought me the most pride is his ability to be resilient in the face of challenges. Whether his team is down 10 runs, he is cheering and encouraging the next batter or pitcher to not give up, when he sees he needs improvement with whatever skill he is lacking, he is working on it the next few weeks to get better and isn’t afraid to ask for other’s knowledge on how to get better. One super moment I remember is him hitting over 10 home runs in the derby!
