What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

What Elise loves most about sports is the combination of teamwork, activity, and challenge. She loves being part of a team, staying physically and mentally active, and meeting new people along the way. She especially loves pushing herself through new challenges, growing as an athlete, and experiencing the excitement and thrill that comes with competing and winning.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Elise is inspired by her family and Christian mentors. Her athletic grandfather and uncle have shown her the value of dedication and perseverance, while her hard-working parents and grandparents have taught her to lead by example. Her family’s strong history of athleticism motivates her to continue the tradition, and her Christian mentors encourage her to stay humble and use her talents to positively impact others.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

One of the moments that makes me proudest is seeing Elise overcome an incredibly challenging year filled with a significant knee injury, an exercise-induced asthma diagnosis, and an emergency appendectomy. Despite facing setback after setback, she never gave up. She worked tirelessly to rebuild her strength, improve her skills, and return to competition. Through it all, Elise became not only a stronger athlete physically, but also a stronger, more resilient kid mentally.
