She loves being part of a team, competing alongside her teammates, and pushing herself to improve. Whether she’s pitching, hitting, or cheering from the dugout, she truly loves the game. More than anything, she loves that there is always something new to learn and another goal to chase.
Katie Stewart inspires Ella because she grew up in the same hometown and shows young athletes that big dreams can start right where they are. Watching someone from her own community succeed at such a high level makes Ella’s goals feel possible. Katie is also an incredible role model for young softball players, showing them the importance of hard work, confidence, leadership, and giving back to the next generation.
My proudest moments aren’t defined by a trophy or a big win—they’re the moments I’ve watched Ella face adversity and keep going. Softball has challenged her, humbled her, and taught her to work for what she wants. Watching her step into the circle, compete for her teammates, bounce back after tough games, and continue putting in the work makes me incredibly proud. Her resilience and love for the game mean more than any stat ever could.
