Learn MoreShe values the connections she makes through her sports; real friendships that happen because we’re together on the court, at practice, traveling, and spending so much time together. Some of my favorite relationships have come from just getting to play the sport I love.
Her club coach, Jenny truly cares about building relationships with her players as people, not just making them better volleyball players. She cares about their mental health, physical well-being, and who players are off the court. She shows them that being a great coach and teammate is about caring about the whole person.
I’m most proud of how Ella has faced adversity and chosen challenge over comfort. She transferred schools knowing she wasn’t guaranteed a varsity position or playing time, then took on wrestling with no experience. Rather than being intimidated by something new or by tough competition, she becomes a student of it, puts in the work, and proves she can succeed and contribute wherever she is.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
