Pushing the limits of what my body and brain can do. The body is amazing and with hard work and mental toughness so many cool things are possible. The feeling of flying I get when tumbling and the pride I feel when I master a difficult leap or turn is amazing. I love taking the stage and getting to express different emotions in a safe space. Getting to cheer on others and encourage and support them when they are sad has created a lot of great friendships.
My teammates. We always push each other to be better. When one person gets a new skill we celebrate them but also it makes us work harder to get the skill too. The older dancers cheer for us at competitions and I look up to them and want to be able to dance like them someday.
During the 25/26 season Ellison competed a solo for the first time. She started out the season placing 5th and instead of being disappointed, she asked what she could improve. The next competition she placed 3rd and again asked what she could improve. She spent the month leading up to the last competition perfecting small details in her routine and pushing herself. She ended up winning first and title. She was proud of the title but even more proud of herself for putting in the work to get there
