What is Youth Athlete of the Year?
Learn MoreThey love having a bond with everyone on the team, being on a team is more then just a a squad to her its a family. The way she always has someone to lean on makes her love the sport. The competition keeps her determined to succeed and has pushed her more than anything else has. No matter what she can always depend on a fun practice with her various sport teams. Mostly she loves her sports, because of how they changed her life.
My daughter looks up to a lot of people, notably her athletic brother. Maybe that’s a quick chat after a game, a strategic plan for a race she always looks up to him. She's learned that being independent is one of the best things you can do. Though saying that, she gets quite upset when theres no opportunity to talk to him. He pushes her to be the best, and has inspired her to be the best version she can be.
One of the most proudest moments in Emerson’s journey would have to be our trip to the Canadian Indoor Track and Field Championships in Toronto this year. She went out there all smiles and came back all smiles, as a viewer it was just incredible watching my daughter to the things she loves and come out with more love. Even though she had a couple bad races, she didn’t let that bring her down at all. That as a parent made me so impressed and proud
