Emily loves the competitive nature of softball. She likes the teamwork approach and the lifelong friendships she builds with teammates and others. She likes to be a leader and make her team succeed. It’s not about her, it’s about the team.
My grandma always inspires me on and off the field. She inspires me off the field because she is selfless and will always be there for everyone. She also inspires me on the field because she can take down any obstacle that comes her way and will never give up no matter the situation. She’s also an excellent leader. I always took her mindset by my side on and off the field.
I have two plays that really stand out to me. One was making a great diving play at shortstop winning the district finals. The second is hitting a home-run in the semi-final regional game to keep us in the game.
