What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Cheer, tumbling and hockey are her passions! She can spend two hours at cheer and say, “That felt like five minutes!” Her hard work paid off last year when she earned MVP and moved up to Level 2. She also discovered hockey and instantly dreamed of being a goalie. Her flexibility, determination and fearless spirit made her a natural in net. After starting with the Ice Puffins, she’s thrilled to play her first league this year. She gives everything she has and never stops chasing her goals!

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

What inspires her most is her own determination to keep growing, along with the encouragement of her parents, coaches and friends. She loves to have fun, laugh and enjoy every moment, but her competitive spirit pushes her to give her best. Whether she’s flying in cheer, tumbling or protecting the net, she sets goals and works hard to achieve them. She inspires us with her confidence, perseverance and willingness to keep trying, even when something is challenging.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

Her proudest moments are two stories of determination. She wanted to be a cheer flyer, so she asked what she needed to do, set goals, worked hard and earned her spot the following year—then became MVP! When she wanted to try hockey, I worried she wasn’t a strong skater. She reminded me she was flexible and could be an amazing goalie. She pushed for her dream, stepped onto the ice and proved herself a natural. Watching her believe in herself makes me incredibly proud.
