Join the CompetitionEmmett loves to compete. He loves the excitement of the game, being part of a team, and constantly trying to get better. He genuinely loves sports and would choose playing a sport over almost anything else. Whether it is lacrosse, basketball, flag football, or soccer, he is happiest when he is competing, learning, and having fun with his teammates
Emmett is inspired by the athletes he watches and the coaches who teach him. He watches sports constantly and pays attention to how great athletes compete, respond to challenges, and work to improve. His coaches also inspire him because he respects the time they put into helping him and his teammates become better players. He wants to learn from everyone around him.
The moment that makes me proudest was watching Emmett pick up a lacrosse stick for the first time. He was nervous and worried that the other kids would be much more advanced than him. Once the game started, those worries disappeared. He played with confidence, scored three goals, and looked like he had been playing lacrosse for years. Seeing him step outside his comfort zone, overcome his nerves, and discover that he could excel at something completely new was an incredibly proud moment for me.
