Kind, humble, and resilient. After losing his dad in Kuwait, he kept showing up, broke a 16-year discus throw record , and gave 100%.

What is Youth Athlete of the Year?
Learn MoreHe doesn’t just play it, he studies it. If there’s something he doesn’t know, he takes the time to learn it, understand it, and get better. He gives his all every time he steps on the field, and his love for the game pushes him to constantly improve.
His biggest inspiration is his father. Even though his father is no longer here, his love, strength, discipline, and example continue to motivate him every day. He carries his father’s legacy with him, both on and off the field. His father taught him to never give up, to work hard, and to give 100% in everything he does. When things get difficult, he thinks about what his father would want him to do and that gives him the strength to keep going.
The moment that makes me proudest is when he broke his school’s 16-year discus th record, especially knowing what he was going through at the time. After losing his father, he could have walked away from the sport, but instead, he showed up, worked hard, and gave it everything he had. That record was more than an athletic achievement it showed his strength, determination, and ability to keep pushing forward even when life was incredibly difficult. As his mother, I couldn’t have been more proud.
