They enjoy competing, learning new skills, working with their teammates, and celebrating accomplishments together. Most of all, they love having fun, giving their best effort, and feeling proud of how much they have grown through hard work and dedication.
They are inspired by their family, coaches, and teammates because they always encourage them to work hard, believe in themselves, and never give up. Their coaches push them to become a stronger athlete, while their family supports them through every win and challenge. They are also inspired by successful athletes who show that dedication, discipline, and perseverance can turn dreams into reality.
One of my proudest moments was watching them continue to give their best even when things didn’t go their way. Instead of giving up, they stayed focused, worked harder, and kept improving. Seeing their confidence grow and watching them overcome challenges showed me that sports have taught them more than how to compete—they’ve learned determination, discipline, teamwork, and how to believe in themselves.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
