What is Youth Athlete of the Year?
Learn MoreWhat I love about baseball is the pressure of the game. It pushes me to work harder and not give up when things get tough. I feel like baseball makes me a better player, but it also makes me a better person off the field. ⚾
Even though Jarren Duran struggled at times during the 2026 season, he still showed up for his team and kept trying. It made me realize that even MLB players go through slumps and have bad games. They are still human just like everyone else. I really like how Jarren handles the haters. He doesn’t let what they say control him or stop him from being himself. I think that is something we can all learn from. You can have bad days, struggle, and still keep going. ⚾❤️
I have two really proud moments in baseball. My first one was when I hit two home runs in one game. I was really proud of myself because I had worked hard and it felt great to see it pay off. My second proudest moment was during a championship game. There were two outs, and we only needed one more out to win. I was pitching, and I got the last strikeout to win the game! It was an awesome feeling knowing that I helped my team win the championship.
