Learn MoreAs a catcher, what I love most is taking complete control of the game. From behind the plate, I have a front-row view of the entire field, which gives me the responsibility to lead my team, set the defense, and make sure everyone knows their assignment. I love being the anchor the team relies on, communicating every play, and helping my teammates succeed. Baseball isn't just about my own performance; it’s about making everyone around me better.
My biggest inspiration on and off the field is my dad. Knowing he played catcher in the minor leagues gives me a firsthand look at the dedication it takes to reach that level. He’s my role model and mentor, teaching me the mental toughness and work ethic required behind the plate. My goal isn't just to follow in his footsteps to pro ball—it’s to work harder, develop my game further, and ultimately surpass his achievements by making it to the major leagues.
My biggest flex is when someone asks, "Which one is yours?" and I get to point to my son. I feel proudest watching him in the dugout when his team is down, yet he’s still enthusiastically cheering on his teammates. He does this completely naturally without being told. It shows the kind of teammate and leader he is, and it makes my heart full.
Colossal is a nationally registered professional fundraiser that inspires people to advocate for themselves and those in need. Through online competitions like Youth Athlete of the Year, Colossal offers participants the opportunity to make their mark while also making a big impact.
