Evan loves baseball because there is always another challenge waiting for him. Every pitch, swing, ground ball, and play is a chance to compete, learn, and improve. He loves the excitement, pressure, and reward of making a play he worked hard to master. Most of all, he loves the journey—the teammates beside him, coaches guiding him, family cheering, and memories they create. Baseball lets him compete, have fun, chase his dreams, and become better every day.
God is Evan’s greatest inspiration. He believes every talent, virtue, and opportunity he receives is a gift from God—and what he does with those gifts is his gift back. This inspires him to work hard, stay humble, persevere, and treat others with kindness. Evan wants to become more than a great baseball player; he wants to be a young man of faith, character, discipline, and integrity who uses his talents to positively impact others.
One of our proudest moments came when Evan, a 10U player competing in an 11U tournament, developed a severe heat-related headache with the heat index near 110°F. After leaving the game to cool down and being cleared to return, he stepped up with runners on second and third, worked a full count, and hit a backside line drive to right field for our team’s only run. We were proud of the RBI, but even prouder of his courage, heart, and commitment to his teammates
