What is Youth Athlete of the Year?
Learn MoreFaith is really enjoying meeting new people as she is shy and trying to understand what sport she enjoys the most while pushing her discipline and encouraging herself to try new things. She takes on each sport with enthusiasm and dedication.
Faith is very independent and has a strong personality. Her older brother (1 year apart) loves soccer and I think seeing him play and watch soccer any chance he gets inspires Faith. She sees that and it makes her keep trying more sports to find her thing. She also loves Serena Williams.
Faith had talked about gymnastics for a few years and on her very first day of class she hurt her wrist doing a hand stand but was determined to go back and spend the better part of 6 months excelling and being challenged and really shaping up. She was somewhat self conscious as she is a more full bodied young girl however she is also very flexible and showed that she can also be a gymnast and I was so very proud of her. She is very determined.
