What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Gabriel has been called a “rare talent,” but what he loves most about soccer is how it challenges him to grow. At 15, his passion has taught him incredible discipline and independence. He manages his schooling, prepares his meals and trains on his own twice a day. That dedication has now given him the courage to leave his family and move to Spain on his own to pursue his dream. Soccer isn’t just his sport—it’s shaping the young man he is becoming.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Gabriel is inspired by the coaches, teammates and family who believed in him long before Spain was ever a possibility. They taught him that talent can open doors, but hard work, character and courage determine how far you go. He carries something from every coach who challenged him and every teammate who pushed him. At just 15, he hopes his journey can someday inspire another young athlete to dream just as big.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

My proudest moment was watching Gabriel, at just 15, leave his family and everything comfortable behind to pursue his dream in Spain. Of course I’m proud that his talent earned him this opportunity, but I’m even prouder that he had the courage to take it. Years of early mornings, training when no one was watching, sacrifices and setbacks led to that moment. Watching my son walk away from us toward the unknown was incredibly hard—but I knew he was walking toward his dream.
