What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Gabe’s favorite part of playing sports is being part of a team. He loves encouraging his teammates, pushing them to believe in themselves, and helping them become the best athletes they can be. He celebrates their successes as proudly as his own and never hesitates to motivate someone when they’re struggling. Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Someone who inspires Gabe is Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Gabe admires his hard work, determination, and ability to keep pushing himself to become a better athlete. He looks up to how Jaxon plays with confidence while still being a great teammate and leader. Gabe hopes to bring that same dedication, positive attitude, and team-first mindset to his own sports.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

One of the moments that made me most proud of Gabe was watching him continue to show up for his team after being injured. Even though he couldn’t play, he attended every practice and game, cheering his teammates on, encouraging them to work hard, and pushing them to do their best. He refused to let his injury keep him from supporting his team. Gabe showed that being an athlete is about more than what you accomplish on the field—it’s about dedication, perseverance, leadership, and heart.
