What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Gabriel loves hitting more than anything. There is nothing like the feeling of stepping into the box, competing, and helping his team. But what he loves most is doing it alongside his teammates. Baseball has given him friendships, memories, and a reason to keep pushing himself. After playing since he was 4, he still gets just as excited to put on his uniform and play the game he loves.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Gabriel is inspired by his family, especially his mom and his oldest brother, Kelvin. His mom has been there since day one, driving him to practices and games, cheering him on from the stands, and supporting his baseball dreams every step of the way. Like every youngest, he looks up to his oldest brother, Kelvin. Who has always pushed him to work harder and become a better athlete. Gabriel loves having his family behind him and hopes to make them proud every time he steps on the field.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

The moment I am proudest of is when Gabriel finally hit his first home run. He has been dreaming about that moment and working toward it since he first started playing baseball. When he connected with that pitch and the ball left the park, the excitement was unbelievable. Watching him round the bases with the biggest smile on his face was a moment I will never forget. It wasn’t just any home run, it was years of hard work, patience, and determination finally paying off.
