What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Gael loves everything about baseball, the excitement of the game, being part of a team, and having fun with his friends. At 9 years old, baseball is a huge part of his world. When he’s not on the field, he’s practicing at home with Grandpa and family, talking baseball, or playing baseball video games. He simply loves the game and is always excited for his next chance to play.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Gael is inspired by his family, especially his dad and grandpa, who spend time practicing baseball with him at home. Those special moments have taught him that getting better takes hard work, patience, and dedication. He also looks up to baseball players who play with heart, support their teammates, and never give up. For Gael, baseball is more than a game. It’s about family, friendship, making memories, and becoming better every day.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

What makes me proudest isn’t one hit, catch, or win, it’s watching Gael’s love for baseball continue to grow. Seeing him practice at home, play with his friends, listen to his coaches, and keep trying when something is difficult means more to me than any scoreboard. At only 9 years old, he already understands that the best part of the game is enjoying the journey, working hard, and sharing it with the people he loves.
