What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Gia loves softball because it challenges her to be brave, work hard, and keep growing. She enjoys competing, being apart of a team, and the excitement of every play. Whether she's pitching, learning a new skills, or cheering on her team mates, softball gives her confidence and lets her do what she loves the most; playing with heart and faith in God.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Gia is inspired by Karlyn Pickens because of her incredible work ethic, powerful pitching, confidence, and determination. As a young pitcher herself, Gia looks up to Karlyn's ability to compete at the highest level while continuing to improve every day. Watching Karlyn reminds Gia that success comes from dedication, discipline, and believing in yourself. She hopes to follow that same path by working hard, supporting her teammates, and giving her best every time she steps into the circle.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

Seeing her step into the pitching circle with confidence, bounce back after a tough inning, and keep working to improve has shown me what true strength looks like. Every practice, every game, and every challenge has helped her grow—not just as an athlete, but as a person. As her parent, I'm most proud of the heart she brings to the game. She plays with determination, supports her teammates, and never stops believing in herself. Watching her chase her dreams with courage and passion is a moment
