What is Youth Athlete of the Year?
Learn MoreGia loves cheer because it pushes her to be her best everyday. It has taught her teamwork, confidence, and patience. She enjoys being able to support teammates and share so many memories with them. Cheer has also brought her life long friends that have become family and it’s a place where she challenges herself all while doing what she loves!
My inspiration is my friend Amaya because at cheer she always finds a way to uplift people with a positive attitude. Outside of cheer she has always been there for me since I was little and is like a sister. She shares her opinions and is always honest and that’s something I look up to. I’m excited to be on a team with her for her senior year. And when she leaves I hope I can become a role model for the little kids like she is.
Not only is Gia my daughter but I am one of her coaches! It would be hard to pick one specific moment as I am proud of her in all she does and accomplishes! She has been on many successful teams, however making her first Worlds team is a proud moment. I’m most proud that she continues to stay humble, driven and hard working. Regardless of mom being a coach. She stays respectful, helpful and kind to every athlete in the gym regardless of age or skill!
