Learn MoreGrace loves the hockey community and strives to set a good example for other young girls playing competitive sports. Although hockey is her main sport, Grace was introduced to the Rugby world and is immersed in the rugby culture for the summer! Having a second close-knit community around her, her summer development and off-ice training has turned up a notch. Grace hates to miss any practice/games/team building for any of her sports, as she has made some amazing friendships along the way.
Grace has a profound respect for her coaches and bench staff this coming year and in past years, but her inspiration would be her military dad!
The moment we were most proud of Grace happened this year at a hockey tournament where Grace showed true sportsmanship. During a game in the semi finals, in overtime, 3v3 Grace got the puck and skated down the ice and scored, to win the game. Grace was awarded the MVP at the end and as she was given the award, Grace skated over to their goalie and hugged her, praising her and letting her know how amazing she played. Sportsmanship at its best seeing girls support girls in sport!
