What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

He loves the team aspect of football—the feeling that everyone has a role and that success depends on trusting one another. He has a natural ability to read the game, anticipate what the other team is doing, and react instinctively. Most of all, he loves being the teammate who lifts others up. When someone is struggling, he rallies the team, brings energy, and reminds them to keep fighting. He truly loves being part of something bigger than himself.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

His dad inspires him most. He sees firsthand what hard work, honesty, and leadership look like every day. His dad leads a team at work, helps people whenever he can, and never expects anything he wouldn’t do himself. Those are qualities he tries to carry onto the field and into life. He believes a real leader isn’t just the person who gets the credit for a win—it’s the person who helps everyone around him become better.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

The moment that made me most proud wasn’t a victory—it was when his team lost the Super Bowl. Watching him handle defeat showed me the kind of person he is becoming. He was genuinely happy for the other team, applauded as they received their trophies, and gave them the respect they had earned. He was disappointed, but he never let the loss change his character. In that moment, he showed true class, humility, and sportsmanship qualities that mean far more to me than any trophy.
