You can almost always find Grayson with a ball in his hand, eager to learn, compete, and have fun.
Thank you for supporting Grayson in this competition. Your participation made a huge impact for the Why Not You Foundation and their mission to empower change in the world, one individual at a time and one child at a time.
What is Youth Athlete of the Year?
Learn MoreWhat I love most about sports is getting to play and have fun. I love being on a team with my friends and working together. I like practicing because it helps me get better, and I love when I finally do something I have been working on. I also love competing and never giving up, even when something is hard.
My mom and dad inspire me on and off the field. They always encourage me to try my best, work hard, and never give up. They come to my games, practice with me, and cheer me on. They also teach me to be kind, help others, and be a good teammate. I want to be like them because they show me that working hard and being a good person are both important.
One of the moments that makes me proudest is watching Grayson make a basket on the tall basketball hoops at my school. When he first started shooting on them, the hoops seemed so high, and he had to work really hard to get the ball all the way to the basket. He kept practicing and never let the challenge discourage him. The first time he made a shot, the excitement on his face was priceless. It was such a proud moment because I saw how much his hard work and determination had paid off.
