What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Grayson loves the challenge of ski racing—pushing himself to get faster, learning from every run, and seeing his hard work pay off. He loves being on the mountain with his teammates, traveling to races, and competing against friends he’s made from other teams. For him, ski racing is about more than results. He loves the friendships, the excitement of race day, and the feeling of accomplishing something he has worked hard for all season.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Grayson is inspired by Mikaela Shiffrin, Bode Miller, and Lindsey Vonn for their talent, determination, and love of ski racing. On his home mountain, older teammates Abi and Anika have taken him under their wings, encouraging him and showing him what it means to be a great racer and teammate. His coaches inspire him to keep improving, and off the hill, his dad inspires him to work hard, stay positive, and always give his best.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

One of my proudest moments was watching Grayson advocate for himself so he could pursue his goals in ski racing. He met with his principal to ask permission to miss Fridays for training and committed to keeping up academically. He followed through—training over 50 days on snow while excelling in advanced classes. I was proud not because of a race result, but because at 10 years old, he showed that dedication means taking responsibility for every part of your goal.
