What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Greyson loves that Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu challenges him to become better every day. He enjoys learning new techniques, testing himself in competition, and seeing how hard work turns into progress. What he loves most is the sense of belonging, respect, and friendship at the gym. Jiu-Jitsu has given him confidence, resilience, and a place where he can overcome obstacles and help encourage others to do the same.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Greyson is inspired most by his dad, his adopted mom, his coaches, and the teammates who have supported him through every challenge. He admires people who never give up, work hard, and show kindness to others. After losing his mom at a young age and overcoming serious health issues, he has learned that strength is not just about winning—it is about perseverance, courage, and continuing to move forward no matter what life puts in front of him.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

The moment that makes us proudest was when Greyson spent two weeks in the children’s hospital with childhood nephrotic syndrome. Just one week after being discharged, he chose to compete in a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu tournament. Simply having the courage to step on the mats after everything he had been through was incredible. Since then, he has gone on to win multiple gold medals, showing that resilience, determination, and heart can overcome even the toughest challenges.
