What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

He likes to be able to create new friendships with other teammates and players. He also likes to learn from different types of coaches.

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

I would say I inspire him on and off the field. I have coached him for the last 6 years. And he learns life lessons on and off the field.

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

There is one game that really stands out and he was playing in the championship for 11u baseball and they won. But one of the kids from the other team was upset because they lost and my son went over and put his arm around him and talked to him instead of celebrating with his team right away.
