What is Youth Athlete of the Year?
Learn MoreHe loves the challenge, the strategy, and the feeling of being part of something bigger than himself. More specifically: The competition — pushing himself to be better every time. The strategy — thinking through plays and outsmarting opponents. The teamwork — working with others toward a shared goal. The joy — that pure excitement he gets every time he steps onto the field.
His greatest inspiration on and off the field is his dad. As his little league coach, his dad taught him everything he knows about football and basketball. He always says he wouldn’t be the athlete he is today without his father’s guidance. Even after losing his sight five years ago, his dad still attends every game, showing unwavering love and support that drives him to play his best.
One of my proudest moments was the night he scored four touchdowns in a single game. Even with all that success, he stayed humble, focused, and grateful — showing the character that matters just as much as the talent.
