What do they love most about playing their sport(s)?

Harleigh honestly loves the training and pushing her body to perform at its best. She will lift weighs at home, on her off days and before or after practices. She also loves being part of a team and working together. Harleigh has been working with coaches that train olympians, just to help be her best self for track and field. Harleigh works with her sled dogs year round to keep them and herself in shape for when winter comes. She just never stops! Doesn’t know the word quit

Who inspires them—on or off the field—and why?

Harleigh gets her competitiveness from her mom, a former college softball player. Harleigh’s first sport was sled dog racing, competing at the age of 2. She has been adding dogs and mileage ever since and has been racing adult classes since about age 7. Harleigh’s mom was the 1st female football player in her small hometown , and Harleigh has followed in her footsteps even playing in the same town as her mom. They even had the same number at one point. Harleigh was quarterback her 8th grade year

What’s one moment in their athletic journey that makes you proudest?

Harleigh was racing sled dogs in 2024 at The American Dog Derby in an adult class during whiteout conditions, when she came upon some fellow competitors whose dogs had lost the trail and their mushers were close to waist deep in snow trying to get their dogs lined back out. Harleigh gave up the competition to stop and help all the teams get back on the correct trail since she was light enough to stay ontop of the snow. She took their dogs and lead them to the correct trail before proceeding.
